How it works

1. Tap Open Origin with £5 off. It takes you to origincoffee.co.uk with my referral id on the end of the address. Nothing to type.
2. Origin gives you a £5 voucher for your first purchase, on its own site. This page never sees your details.
3. Put £20 or more of coffee in your basket. The £5 voucher needs a £20 minimum spend.
4. Check out with the voucher and no other discount code. Origin allows one discount per order.
5. Once your first order is in and you've spent over £20, Origin gives me 500 points in The Circle, its rewards scheme. That's worth £5 to me. Thank you.

Is there an Origin Coffee discount code?

Not from me. The referral is a link, not a code. Open it and Origin gives you a £5 voucher for your first purchase.

Where does the referral link go?

To origincoffee.co.uk, Origin's own site, with a referral id on the end of the address (ll_ref_id). That id is how Origin's rewards system knows the order came through my link. Nothing else is added.

How much does the Origin Coffee referral save?

£5 off your first order, when that order is £20 or more.

Is there a minimum spend?

Yes. This £5 voucher needs a minimum spend of £20.

Can I use the referral voucher with another discount code?

No. Origin allows one discount per order, so the voucher and a code can't be stacked.

Is Origin's 10% newsletter offer better?

Origin's own site offers 10% off a first coffee order for joining its newsletter. Only one discount applies per order, so pick one: under £50 the £5 referral is worth more, over £50 the 10% is. That's Origin's promotion, not mine; check its terms on origincoffee.co.uk.

What does the person sharing the link get?

500 points in The Circle, Origin's rewards programme, worth £5, once you've spent over £20.

Does the Origin Coffee referral link expire?

Origin hasn't given a date. The printed date at the top is when I last checked the link and these conditions.

No. I'm a customer. Origin's site is origincoffee.co.uk, and Origin sets the referral terms.
